Welcome to My Website

Hi I'm Michelle Ross-Cope and welcome to my website. I hope my site gives visitors an opportunity to find out a little more about me and to find other likeminded athletics fans.

You can follow my latest news and results over both recent and over the past few years on this site.

I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me. Having three children and a job it can sometimes be difficult and without help and encouragement along with my own dedication things could have been far more difficult.

Two people who had always followed my athletics are unfortunately no longer here, I lost my mum 10 years ago and my father last year, they were my most enthusiastic and avid supporters, it was their sacrifices that made my running possible. I really wished that they could have seen all I've achieved so far, but I'm sure that they'd be proud.

Latest Updates

Sorry for the long and distant update. As ever been majorly busy.

Just moved house and have been working hard to get everything straight and how I like it. Still plenty to do though!

I’m glad to say I am nearly back up to full training. However I am still having weekly physio and training on the Alter G once a week, so having to do a lot of travelling around.

As most people know I do cross train 2 – 3 times a week as well as the full training. However, once an injury does start going to the gym starts to feel like you are in a hospital! However, it does make you appreciate running.
One thing that has kept me going is looking back on last year and my achievements.

As far as race plans are going, I’m planning for a few shorter races to help me build up and get my confidence back, then an Autumn marathon either Berlin or Amsterdam for a quick time.

As everyone knows it is now less than a year to the London 2012 Olympics and as with any other elite athlete out there we are all hoping to be in that “GB Team”. I have just recently done interviews with our local Radio Stations Signal and BBC Radio Stoke. I have agreed to be followed and interviewed by BBC Radio Stoke on a regular basis with regards to my training and my busy home life which I am sure will be good fun.

I would also like to thank John Smith from Greenway Pepper Precision Engineering Limited for helping me with some funding. http://www.greenwaypepper.com/
