Had some wonderful news regarding the Commonwealth games, I've been selected to run the Marathon. It'll be another hot one but I'm looking forward to it.

UK Athletics today announce athletes selected to represent Great Britain at the World Half Marathon Championships to be held in Rio, Brazil on 12 October 2008.

Liz Yelling (Bedford & County) makes her first appearance since finishing 26th in the Marathon at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

It will be the first international outing of the year for Michelle Ross-Cope (City of Stoke) and Wendy Nicholls (Cirencester AC) who currently lie in sixth and eighth place respectively in the UK Athletics Power of Ten rankings for the Half Marathon.
